Rebound & Compression Dials - RP23 Shock & Float RLC

I've had my bike since June and ridden it week in week out. After the first month of adjusting this, that and the other in regards to the suspension settings I soon became happy with the bike and have not touched anything since.
To my horror when checking the air pressure in my rear shock today (having realised over the last few weeks that I'm heavier due to extra clothing, kit & pies) I noticed that the rebound dial is extremely stiff and hardly moves at all.
I then began checking the other settings on my bike and the same could be said for the compression dial on the forks.
I've carefully sprayed them with GT85 and tried to work them loose. The compression dial isn't too bad now and although its stiff at least I can feel approx. 8 clicks of movement.
Unfortunately, I'm having difficulty with the rebound dial. It takes a great deal of force to move it and there only seems to be 6 clicks??
Has this happened to anyone else and if so how can I fix it???
