Am looking at two child seats at the moment, for my grand daughter (11 months). Never bought or used one before, so was wondering what the views were on the following:-
-Hamax Siesta
- Co Pilot Taxi

There are also two more expensive versions of each (Siesta Plus and Co pilot limo) and again wondered if these were worth the extra.

They would be fitted to a Scott Sub 20... 26" rigid.

The Hamax seems to clip straight onto some sort of seat post attachment (as far as I can tell), and the Co pilot fits onto a Blackburn type rack. Don't mind fitting the attachments initially, but once set up are they both easy to clip / unclip from the bike fitting, and what sort of ride do they give the child...is one any better than the other, or is it just personal preference?

Would be grateful for your views and experiences....many thanks Pete

Without having tried any other seat I can't comapre for you, but we've been very happy with our Co-Pilot Limo. It's now been passed from our son (who is now riding on the tandem with kiddy cranks) to our daughter.

The seat slides onto the rack and clips in front and back, and there is a safety strap that clips around the seatpost shoudl anything untoward happen. It's extremely quick and easy. The Limos safety bar also rotates over the back of seat, so that it can be used a portable chair for the child; we've used it for meal time in the park. The Limo also has good all round protection in the event of an accident.

Many thanks for the response. Have actually spoken to LBS, and he is going to get both in at the weekend so we can have a close look ourselves
