Right so after getting into some biking to work (17miles round trip) I lost my way as the darkness came and work pressure took over!! So I was thinking as I drove home in my car last night that I would restart in the new year, but then i thought to hell with that start again now!

So the challenge:
9 more days of bike commuting opportunities till the holidays, so how many of those days can I do it. All 9?!

I am tired of putting work commitments before myself so no more the fightback starts on tuesday. Bike getting prepared, lights attached. Bag packed. I have been larding it out lately and thats no good. Nae more excuses!!

  • Well - I started for the first time at the end of October, and last week was my first full 5 day cycling week. (Most of the other weeks weren't wimp outs, but rather dentist appointments and stuff like that) Mines only a 4 mile each way commute, but I want to top the 250 mile mark before Christmas. I'm just over 180 at the moment, so I should make it, but targets are always good :)

    whats wrong with Monday?

    work commitments ?
  • I startd mid-November on the 2 wettest days that November gave us. I'm so glad I did as it gave me the confidence to keep going no matter what the weather (well, maybe not hail or snow). Stop thinking about doing it and do it! If nothing else tell yourself after each commute "that's 2 more guilt free mince pies I can have"!

Good luck is_76. Your additional challenge is to post on this topic each day, reporting on whether you rode in or not.
