What average speed over 4 hours cycling ?

    varies, sometimes 18mph or a tiny bit more, sometimes barely above 14mph, especially in yorkshire.

    i try to always stay above 14mph, because someone once said if you average any less you're not trying hard enough.

    Ive done a couple of 75,s this year , one on my road bike took 4hr 16 and the other one on my heavier hybrid took 4hr26 both were flattish terrain with about 6/700 m of climb,so 4/5 hrs sounds right in the ballpark unless youve got adverse weather like a block headwind all the way
