Cyclescheme

My work place recently signed up for the cyclescheme, which is great as we'd been hoping that they would join one of the similar schemes. The problem is that I'm trying to save as much as I can when looking to buy a new bike and I know I'm being a complete cheapskate but I wanted to buy a sale price bike through the scheme. Pretty much every affiliated bike shop I've contacted won't sell a bike at sale price through cyclescheme as they get charged 10% of the cost of bike by the company that runs it.

My question would be, does anyone out there know of a bike shop/chain that will let you buy a slae price bike through cyclescheme? I know that both Wiggle and PlanetX don't do that shcme and that Evans don't either as they have theier own scheme but any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers!

I get all of the schemes mixed up but I know that Ribble Cycles sign up to one of them. I live in Preston (where they are based) and have found them very good. Ribble bikes ride well and represent excellent value for money. Worth a go.

  • My workplace also recently took up the cyclescheme. I went to two shops in my town. One offered me bikes at RRP only. The other was offering me a £999 bike for £695 on the scheme, and was willing to do other deals too.
