Another question on frame geometries...

I'm 5'8, but as I've got nearly no neck, my shoulders are about the same height as someone who's 5'10. Normally its recommended that approximately 54cm is the correct size for my height.
If I get a 56cm where will the weight be? I have a shoulder injury, so If I get a bigger size, I'll be more stretched out but will there be more weight on my arms? If I get a smaller frame I'll be more upright and more weight on my shoulders?
I know there is no substitute for trying the frame out, so I'm just looking for some pointers.

I think you need to try a 54 and a 56 and see what you think.
remember a 54 with a 12cm stem will have the same reach as a 56 with a 10cm stem (all things being equal) so there is adjustability there.
However, the two bikes will feel different to ride. I 'd prefer the latter setup myself but you might be different.Facts are meaningless, you can use facts to prove anything that's remotely true! - Homer0
