Deda Nero Corsa and Scuro carbon frames

I am thinking of buying either a Deda Nero Corsa or Scuro carbon frame, and was interested in any reviews from owners of either frame.

Additionally, where in the UK can the frames be bought-I am aware of quite a price difference for the frames between say a Ribble badged version or a Dolan/Condor version. Is it possible to buy the frames without stickers on them?

The Nero Corsa from ChainReaction is shown without stickers. I don't know whether that refects reality though..

I had a Scuro frame earlier this year - absolutely cracking frame but I found I was between sizes due to the lack of layback on the seat post (not quite an inline post but not far off it). This meant I couldn't achieve my 55.5cm reach from saddle tip to centre of bars on a Medium frame, and the Large frame was too tall in the head tube and in standover height for me (as I found to my cost when I resold at a loss !)

I absolutely loved the frame characteristics though - really direct drive, stiff, yet comfortable. Ace looks and still relatively rare (I saw no others beyond mine this year) and can be had in plain carbon finish with no decals from www.sumobikes.co.uk or www.gobikespex.co.uk for less than the UK comparitive prices of Ribble, Dolan or Condor versions and much, much less than the Ciocc, Bottechia, Moser, Casati and Kona branded versions.

The Ribble version is good & represents value.

How do you work out what size you want? I would love one without decals as my road bike frame is knackered and I think it really looks the business.

Go to Dedacciai's website, where they have full geometric diagrams for each size frame - much easier to understand than Ribble's comparison to their other, in-house frame size options.

www.dedacciai.com - then click on products, then carbon, then chassis. Pick your frame and the diagrams can be accessed from there.

Good write up on the Nero on the home page of this site and as StevenCP advises, the exact same frame can be had without decals from www.chainreactioncycles.com, including forks and free shipping for only £12 more than Ribble's price for frame only and delivery.

I have a scuro which I got from Condor. It's absolutely fantastic! Light as a feather, very stiff but also extremely comfortable.

    I'd definitely recommend it!
