  • Hi Paul,

    Nice. Who did the paint?

That is a beautiful frame set. Do you still have any spindles for sale?

Hi Paul I need to keep a straight chain line on a Raleigh Twenty.
At the moment the rear hub is a Sturmey and the drop outs are 114 but I want to put a fixed hub increasing the spacing to 120.
I want to change from cottered to cotterless and fit a modern chainset.
Sheldon says for Raleigh that Japanese spindles ending in the number 7 should work.
I know that Raleigh did make some cotterless spindles.
The bb shell is a whopping 77mm.
Now with all the goal posts changing the original length (which I don't know yet) will be (I guess too short).
As a last result I would onsider having the shell retapped to 24 tpi and cut down to either 73 or 68 but I can't find anywhere that will do that.
    What do you thnk?
