Chain Tool

I need to buy a new chain tool for 9 speed and 10 speed Shimano chains.

My choice is between:

Park CT-5 Mini Brute Chain Splitting Tool..........£12.95 or


Shimano Chain Cutter (TLCN 23).......................£14.95

As you can see I am the last of the big spenders.

I do like park tools, but should I buy a shimano tool for a shimano product. Has anybody used either of these.

    i splashed out on a Park about 5 years ago & it`s been great - very neat accurate & light. I`d get another if I lost it.......

    Go for a Park Tool, since you can change easily the punch part if they broke or deteriorate for only a few bucks...

    A friend recommended this one and he wasn't wrong - it really is a good tool. I have used it a lot and has never let me down. I adapted the tool, with a nail :lol: , to insert already used pins - I don't think many tools would do that....
