Dorset Newbie

Dorset Chicken

I've done bugger all in the last few years and am 5.10 and 14.5 stones (that is all lard and no muscle) - I want rid of a lump of my lard and after a week at Centre Parcs have remembered that I used to enjoy getting out on my bike.
Does anyone know of any groups / routes that a beginner could do in the Weymouth / Dorset area?

not groups as such but I ride quite often at Puddletown forest. which is a good "skills improvement" venue Hopefully next sunday at about 10:00 I will give you a PM with further details

Are there any routes in weymouth?? i usually come down for a weekend break once every couple of months and have brought the bike but only ended up riding the old railway line up to Portland!!

I know there is a route around swanage way, but unsure if there is anything else without getting back in the car?!
