right all the tests say Marzocchi DJ4 are realy rubbish,
well theyre right!
i have a norco bigfoot which i use for dirt, dh and a little north shore.
does anyone have any ideas for some decent forks?

theyre QR and im looking around £200-£250 with disk only mounts0

You've got a bit of a dilema because you're bike is a freeride bike and the kind of riding you do is All Mountain/Freeride but you've got a QR wheel. Your existing fork is 120mm travel but most 120mm QR forks these days are XC forks.
Something like a 130mm Z1 (£240 at CRC) would be ideal but you'd need to spend a bit more (about £60) on a bolt through front wheel. A DJ 3 has a QR but is only 100mm and would make the front end a bit lower.
I have a 2006 Marzocchi All Mountain 1 for sale. It's adjustable from 130-150mm and is QR. It's a great fork for light DH and FR BUT it's not for big DJing (Neither is the DJ4 mind you with it's QR bottom). Anyway, it's £150+£15 postage if you're interested. Piccie below:
