Im am pretty new in to mountain biking and have been tryin to figure out what bike would be best to buy, i have been looking at the scott aspect fx-15 2008 model and before making any hasty decision on whether to buy one or not i thought i would ask for you views on the bike.
if any 1 has some other recommendations for around the same price, your advice would be much appreciated. thanks!!!!!!

    Hi and welcome!

First off, what sort of riding will you be doing? Cross country and trails, or anything a bit more severe?

The Aspect is a new model from Scott, and while I have never seen one, it looks a little under specced against some of the opposition.

    hi,
i will be using it for Cross country and trails.
  • Scott have rebadged the Reflex range as the Aspect for some reason this year. I think this could be a good entry level bike for you. I rode a Reflex a few times last year and what makes it quite good is the rear shock can be either completely locked out or completely open, on the fly. This means that you can have a hard tail for climbing and a full susser for descending. Best of both worlds!!

The best way for you to decided though is for you to get down to your LBS and try out the different bikes, even if it is just around the car park so you can see how they all feel.

Also check out last years Scotts :wink:http://www.tredz.co.uk/products-Reflex-Fx-25-Full-Suspension-Mountain-Bike-2007-Full-Suspension-MTBs_7954.htm
