Hi
My wife is going to buy a bike on one of these bike to work schemes. She is looking for a hardtail that can be used on the red route at Glentress or simliar rides
The budget is £400 or less and it has to be a bike bought from halfords. I believe that Halfords can get any bike in though.
I recently bought a hardrock which is fine for me but the RST fork was complete kak and the bike is a little heavy for my little wife.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My Carrera Fury is as light as a feather and should be around £400, plus it seems the newer model is far better specd than mine now too.
May be worth just trying a few out to be honest, at both Halfords and LBS before ordering if its more comfort needed.0 -
the carrera vulcan was the third best bike of the year in WMB, so it may well be worth considering.
The fury on the halfords website is £440 but the forks are far better han the vulcan0
