MTB Shoe / Gym Shoe

Hi All
I need some new shoes for the gym / biking...
Just been using a crappy old pair of trainers for both and they arent doing me any good...
Never given much thought to what I would want out of a MTB shoe before but I guess protection / waterproofing / breathability would high up on the scale...
I also want a pair for the gym. Would be great if I could get something which wouldnt look out of place on both the bike and in the gym.
Any suggestions or advice ?
Cheers

Would these fit the bill? http://www.wiggle.co.uk/ProductDetail.a ... WR%20Shoes
I used to use these when I was trail running and when I started MTBing. They don't look out of place with MTB gear but as I have seen the light of clipless riding I couldn't recommend anything else but cleats for MTBing these days.0 -

Actually, the new ones look hideous! Ignore that I had the older ones the X I think. But some of the Asics trail shoes might be ok.0
