Just fitted new brakes

I'm slowly collecting parts towards changing my Carrera to Campag, I've got the brakes and I decided to fit the rear one last night.

I have encountered a problem already, the metal bit on the outer cable housing is too big to fit into the cable tensioner(?). What do i need to do to remedy this? The brake is working fine but its just not right.

Change the outer housing? LBS job?
I like bikes...

    I've had this and left the ferrule off the outer casing.
    I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
