Heard on the national news that they are withdrawing sponsorship from the cycling team due to negative publicity following various drug scandals. Sad end to an era
I have pain!

I can see T-Mobile have bowed out exasperated...as have Audi, but Adidas bowing out is a joke...if they want to distance themselves from cycling they should stop making cycling goods and put their money where their mouth is...also their ethical standing with respect to slave labour etc is one of the worst.....haven't bought their stuff in years and definitely plan not to ever again :x
it never gets any easier...I'm supposed to just get faster...still waiting though
  • Bit late for the moral high ground, but didn't the germans spit the dummy when the rest of the world cottoned onto them drug cheating in the olympics, and started to beat them. There was a good programme on not so long ago about the damage east germany did to their athletes.
  • It is sad that they withdrew their sponsorship. I've always liked that team. But with all the news and allegations of team wide doping back in the day, something was bound to happen. So they either wanted to step away from the sport so as not to be contiuosly refered to as team with a shady past and maybe come back with a new clean image later on. Or, maybe someone at the communications giant knew of the doping going on and they pulled out before that shit hit the fan.
