Chaps,

Looking at the 2008 Trek 6300 at RRP of £599. Bit of a novice here - is the bike / components any good?

    For XC and your average trails its a nice machine. Fork could be better at this price though, but the rest of the parts are spot on. Definitely worth trying out.

    Hi Pab1612,have a look at the CUBE ACID.Similar price,same fork but has lock out control for the forks on the handlebars,better spec'd gears- XT rear LX front,Excellent frame and discs.Great bike to ride felt right straight away.Got mine from Velocity cycles in Huddersfield so if you are looking at Chevin cycles you are not that far away.Think he has got the new 2008 bikes in now.
