need a new rear derraileur!

Evening all!
I managed to order the 'wrong' rear derraileur (XTR) with a spring that makes the derr. go up rather than down... :oops:
Hmm methinks technology has left me behind somewhat!
I have SL-M750 (XT) rapidfire shifters. which model derraileur do i need (XT or XTR) I dont want the spring to push the chain up to a bigger cog!
