Hardtail for £300-£400

Hi all this is my first post on here.
I am moving to Plymouth soon and cant wait to get stuck in out and about on Dartmoor but I am fairly new to MTB as the first bike I bought ever was an Apollo FS.26.S. :oops:
Now dont shout to much im still new to this and it suits me fine for comuting to work and back. Which brings me to my questions have you any suggestions about any Hardtails that I would be able to get fo around £300-£400.

I was going to buy last years model (2007) for 359.99 from Leisurelakes but was struck by the new 2008 model, anyway the guy knocked me £30 of for a quick sale so paid £370, i used the £30 saved to get some Shimano M540 pedals.
