fitting new forks

a mate of mine has just bought a new set of forks and wants to fit them himself, now if i lived nearer i'd do it for him but i don't so he's on his own.
i've explained over the phone what he needs to do but doesn't understand all the terminology.
do we know of an online guide with photo's that may help him?
I had a look on the Park webste but there isn't a direct help.
Any ideas? can't seem to access the old grimetime clinics now that mbuk.com has been terminated.

Thats an excellent article for the basic mechanic, very clear.
I still end up having mine done at the LBS - he's 1/4 mile away and as cheap as chips - £10 to fit a fork!
That way I can go and have a pint (or two) for an hour, come back and he's done it!!
That and having cranks fitted - the rest I do myself give or take!0
