Turbo trainers - CycleOps vs Kurt Kinetic???
Hi folks, in the market for an indoor trainer. Looked at the basic CycleOps Mag at £63.99 from Wiggle (http://www.wiggle.co.uk/ProductDetail.aspx?Cat=cycle&ProdID=5360012878&N=CycleOps%20Mag%20Trainer), but read a few differing reviews.
These Kurt Kinetic trainers from Planet X seem to be well liked. (http://www.planet-x-bikes.com/tt/index.php?module=pagemaster&PAGE_user_op=view_page&PAGE_id=185&MMN_position=466:466)
Anyone have any experience or advice?
Thanks, A.

I have tried the cycleops fluid2 and thre kinetic. I preferred the fluid2 beacuse it was much quieter and smoother, plus the quick release is just that. However, the Kinetic seems better built, slightly sturdier, and has the advantage of the unique mag coupling which should prolong its life. Try them both if you can, though I found little difference in riding sensation0

Got a Kurt and happy with it. It is built to last forever and I find it quite quiet in use and easy to put bike in/out.
Only drawback is its weight, its quite heavy so taking it to club turbo session involves a strength session at beginning/end of ride.Martin S. Newbury RC0
