Campag QS Ergo levers

Do they really need QS mechs? I just can't seem to get the front changer set up properly - using a 2001 Veloce triple. ....or will I need to order more new kit..... :evil:

    You don't have to have a QS front mech but you don't get the lighter shifting....whereas if you use a QS front mech with older Ergos you need to shift twice to get the same shift you would with a QS mech.
    I'd rather walk than use Shimano
