Smoothrite

Has anyone painted a frame with Smoothrite?
I have a Raleigh Twenty that does not warrant a respray but thought a cheap fix like Smoothrite could be an option.

Brilliant stuff, it's all in the prep...get it clean ,smooth then wipe it all down with tack rags then dry kitchen roll...warm the can up and spray on a still warm-ish day or in a dry garage(wet the floor first).
If you are OK at this sort of thing you WILL get a decent finish.being a reformed stuntdrinker allows pontification0 -
Thanks Steve. Didn't realise it was a spray I thought it was brush on. Thanks for the tip!0

I've used (and am currently using) both brush on and spray smoothrite. Like above I would say it is all in the prep and you really need to give it several coats within a short space of time, don't wait a long time between coats or the paint starts to react.
See my page here for a bit of blog on my experiences with it:
