having trouble fiting forks ?? help

hi weill i got some o6 dirt jam comps amd ive cut them down fine but my top cap is not on to anything the only thing holding onto the fork steerer is the stem what do i need to do or buy

p.s my bike is a charge iron cheers

You need a star nut for the steerer. This allows you to use the top cap to adjust the bearings. park tools has a guide on fitting and adjustment.
