pedal threads

Hi there!

I am looking for some used road cranks on ebay and I was wondering if older cranks would have different threads from those that would fit modern spd pedals...

Any advice greatly appreciated!

    9/16 x20 is the standard thread.

    You will find that if you buy 1970s cranks from a French bike the thread is different, but you will probably only find those on Peugeot bikes of that time.

    Some kids bikes and odd ball stuff is 1/2 inch, but I doubt you will find that.
