Full mudguards on an `06 Pilot 1.2?
Hi folks
I went for a ride today on rather muddy wet roads & if it wasn`t for my http://www.silentsports.com/store/produ ... st-Fender/ I would`ve been caked!
Has anyone then got a full set of full size guards that will fit a `06 Trek Pilot 1.2 with 28mm tyres? I`m not bothered about the race blades as what I have now are just about the same coverage
Cheers

I have full mudguards on my '07 pilot 1.2, and from what I can remember the '06 will take them too. Last winter I had 28mm tyres and there wasn't that much clearence (enough but you had to be quite vigilent about clearing out the leaves that got trapped). This year I have 25mm tyres and they are much lower maintanance.0

yes - I have just ftted regular sks mudguards to my '06 model pilot 1.2
I had to move the front brake mount bracket forward on the guard by 1.75" to put it on the front of the fork and held by the brake bolt - it wouldn't fit inside the fork crown. not so much of a problem as the mounts are only rivetted on anyway.0 -
They are black Zefal ones - not sure of the model but probably these:

I have also had good experiences with sks ones in the past, which I am sure would fit equally as well.
