Campag 9+10 speed mech compatability

Will a 10 speed campag mech work on a 9 speed system? If so I could avoid buying overpriced new old stock.

    You might have problems with a nine-speed chain as the cage on the ten-speed mech is narrower. Indexing will be the same.

    Assuming you are using a 2001+ 9 speed lever then you won't have any problems as the 9 and 10 mech are the same...only the spacers in the jockey wheels are different thicknesses and will need swapping.
    I'd rather walk than use Shimano

    You can just run a 10-speed chain if spacing in the mech is a problem.
