Depends where you are.
In febrary and March there are several reliability rides in Herts which are quite good and can be as fast r slow as you like, but they are on qite hard rotes.0 -
Not many sportives listed on Cyclosport.co.uk before April. Maybe look at audaxes instead, or as OWM says, many clubs organise "reliability rides" early season that are basically sportives by another name.0

Where do you find out about these?0 -
Have not seen dates for this year yet.

This was for last year.
Keep eye on the net.0 -
Thanks for that. It mentions Paul at The Bike Shop, I'll pop in and ask him.0

I think the Hemel and Harpenden may be swapped as Hemel have organised a track day at Newport on the day the Hemel reliability was to be run.
Where is your club run going this week Bronzie?0 -

I'm off to watch the World Cup cyclocross in Belgie tomorrow, but I'll try and get out Sunday if I can persuade Mrs Bronzie that it's in her best interests for me to bugger off on my bike all morning.0 -

My wife is a technophobe and is going to visit a friend on Southend.
I was doing the sat nav for her (as she cannot work it!!) and she got in a strop so went without it.
I just heard on the news M25 closed due to 10 car smash and she has to go through it.
I called her and no answer so I could not leave a voice mail as she does not know how to retrieve it
So gues she is now stuck in traffic, no phone, no sat nav
Now I can have a quiet night then go out for long ride tomorrow 8)0 -

The VC long eaton reliability is always a good laugh - and fast if you are in the front groups.
it's a hard life if you don't weaken.0 -

Thanks oldwelshman. That should be enough to dissuade me from that extra mince pie on Boxing Day0
