Mounting a cateye triple shot battery pack?

Anyone any suggestions on mounting a cateye triple shot battery pack to a bike (Giant XTC composite) with cables on the uderside of the top tube? Just got it today and charged it up.
I've tried strapping it on to the side of the down tube, but am aware of the vulnerability of this position and the fact it'll probably slip round to hanging underneath.
Using it tomorrow night for my first nightride (and 5th ride out ever) and don't want to be the laughing stock.
Cheers,
Tim

How big is pack? Could it go under stem (if small enough), or in spare bottle cage (if power lead long enough)0

Well after a few different goes at attaching it I came up with a solution that just worked, the carbon fibre moulding of my bike around the stem makes it a little tricky, but it managed to stay on during tonights ride, even though I came off.
Cheers for the help.New '06 Giant XTC composite.(Black bike No.3)
