New Wheels - Hub Compatibility

I'd like to get some replacement wheels for my commuter road bike, which currently has an 8-speed Shimano setup. I am looking at used wheels which already have hubs and am wondering what type of rear hub is compatible with my 8-speed cassette? Are there 8-speed specific hubs or will all Shimano rear hubs be OK?

    Generally any Shimano hub will work but look out for "10 speed only" hubs. (Any 8/9 will take a 10, but some 10s dont take 8/9)
