Help, broken derailleur hanger!

Hey,
Myself and my mate were out for a spin last night and he had a bit of a mishap.
We were coming back down through a wooded section and something must have caught in his derailler, snap and some cursing later... Got it sored out so at least he could freewheel the downhill bits going back to the car.
He's got a Specalized hardrock, does anyone know if they are easily replaced or at all? I didn't get much of a chance to look at it last night
Cheers

look on the usual sites CRC etc. should be easy to get hold off, if not get hold of the warrenty number for spesh, if you can't source the item and your nice to them they might take a mech hanger of a returned bike and send0

Thanks,
I'm going to get him to go back to the shop and see if he can get it there.
I did a search of CRC and think I have found it. Might be quicker to fix it ourselves. I think this is the right one

as long as his frame is one of those listed0

fix it yourselves, easy to do just might need to set the gears back up again. is it the 2004 hardrock then? BETD are the best for gear hangers too.0

ya local Specialized dealer should have these in stock.
Usually £15 ish, easy to fit, just check ya mech ain't bent, and fire on the mech hanger, adjust ya gears and off ya go riding again. If you aint confident enough to do this i am sure ya local bike shop would fit it for ya, and should cost to much to do.0
