buying a good hardtail or full suss

Hi all i am looking at spending between £500 and £600 on a bike and was wondering what you reccommend i like the look of the specialised rockhopper or should i go for something else ,i'm also interested in buying second hand if i will get a better bike this way e.g a full suss model,cheers for your help :wink:

    Well you defo won't get a full susser for that amount (even second hand). So I would go for a hardtail. For that sort of money you should get something pretty decent. Hardtails are excellent for skill and confidence building also - you will defo learn a lot more on a hardtail.

    I would look at 2006 bikes that are on sale as you should get a good, well specced bike for that amount of money.

    Also, what sort of riding are you into? Will you be commuting on it?
