Sydney Australia Recommended Rides

I'm moving to Sydney in January and if anyone knows of any good rides in that area (to help me acclimatise) I'd be glad to hear about them. Any tips on getting used to riding in the heat would also be greatly appreciated.
If only the legs were as good as the bike....

    The trick is to ride as early as possible, before it gets too hot. That's why a lot of the bunch rides out of the city start at silly times like 6.30 am.

    Sydney's a big place and the rides definitely have a north/south divide - where will you be living?
