Marc Lotz
"Marc Lotz is hoping to return to professional cycling after sitting out a two-year suspension for using EPO. The 34 year-old Belgian plans to sign with the Belgian Professional Continental Team DFL-Cyclingnews." says cyclingnews.com.
Now that cyclingnews.com is owned by bikeradar/ Future plc, are you happy that this site is supporting exposed cheats? Should they be signing an old doper or picking a younger hope? Or is it generous of them to rehabilitate Lotz?

He broke the rules. He was caught and he's served his punishment. It should be irrelevant who signs him as long as it's within the rules.Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0

My point is that even if he's served his ban, why employ someone with bad habits. I don't think he spent his ban apologising to riders he beat unfairly, or educating younger riders on clean riding. So surely the budget could be better spent on young talent, not an old mule?
As for Museeuw bikes, well, I heard Jeff d'Hont and Willy Voet are looking for work as soigneurs and Manolo Saiz is still looking to get back behind the wheel of a team car.0 -
no sympathy for him...he went on the record as saying he should have kept quiet as the police had not found the EPO..my memory of it is he made an admission before they had done a search of his house...he led them to it.0

Old news! Thankfully, I can't say I've noticed any discernible difference.
On topic, I think I agree with Dave and Kleber. Lotz and Museeuw are known drug cheats who've shown no remorse and are still decidedly old-school. They shouldn't be encouraged to take a position in a team full of young riders.0 -

I don't object to it from a morality stance, but if I was running the team, I'd be very wary of the negative publicity surrounding the signing and be a bit reluctant to take him on board.
Its more I don't get the thinking behind it then I condemn it.It's a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired. You quit when the gorilla is tired.0
