Feargal McGrath organised one of the best wales/west country sportives last year, and whilst its not the hardest, its one of the best organised, and attractive events. It's filling fast, entries limited to 500 this year. Thoroughly recommended. Good to see some other fellow forumites already entered

Even the DVD was good (I am biased tho ) and my mate is even in the photo gallery looking suitably dead at the top of one climb.

That's quite misleading then - if you go on the Cyclosport website it says entry for this event is not yet open! Looks a good event to tackle as a first sportive though.

I'd agree with that. I know its open, I entered yesterday (oeer)

Its on Cyclosports home page and on the 2008 calendar, i just looked, maybe they are updating stuff.

Just booked and this will indeed be my first sportive, and the second day of back-to-back 130m's by way of training for my LEJoG in May.

Must say I'm excited about being part of an organised event. Done several Audax-type rides before but always solo, so I'm looking forward to the camaraderie of this.
