DH/FR bike limited budget

Hi all looking for a DH/FR suitable bike for aboooooouuut £600-700? I'm thinking the budget may possibly need to be raised but would really like something at this price range.
Better to go 2nd hand then? Or are there any end of season deals people know of?

To go riding with a Scott Nitrous 30 and a new marin quake 7.3 at cwmcarn, aston hill, Forest of Dean etc

    yes, i own a banshee x, an id say that they are good budget bikes, id maybe look at upgrading some of the parts in time tho, i prefer shimano components, and would think about upgrading the rear shock, also this years model is now down to just under 600, but will be a tad hard to sorce, if you go to your nearest halfords, they should be able to courier you one,
