Have been looking at bivi bags lately as im sick of getting either soaked in the rain when going camping or carrying a tent around. The 2 im most interested in are,
Vango Force ten Alpine Bivi and a Terra Nova Discovery bivi. At the moment i cant find the second under £100 which is about my limit, possibly up to £120.
has anyone had any experience or could recomend one for occasional use. id prefer one with a way of looking outside eg. mesh. and a decent hydrostatic head.
Thanks, David

can use it all year round with a good sleepingbag n thermarest.
always stayed dry and stupidly light compared to a tent.

I agree with hastings I know loads of people who use the standard issue bivvi bags and I've yhet to hear any complaints, they're not too expensive either, just ask your local army surplus.
