Hi all
Is There anything i can do to stop the brakes on my GT Avalanche 1.0 Disc 2007 model with tektro disc brakes from squeaking like hell in the wet . In the dry they are silent they have been bed in and have done about 400 miles and are in good condition.
Any help please before i start to wear ear plugs in the rain.
They do have some copa slip on the rear of pads.
Many thanks

You could try another make of pad, some manufactures claim there ceramic or metal pads make little or no noise in the wet.
For me a brake pad that makes a noise in the dry as well would mean I could get rid of my bell. Noisy pads are great for letting people know you are there and puts the sh—s up some dogs ….lol0 -
read the topic in the MTB FAQ's on squeaky brakes?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
