Crank Removal

I need to remove my BB to re-greese it and cannot get my canks off to get at the BB. I have a Bontrager Race Carankset and can remove a few of the screws from the crank but they will not come off. Can anyone help ?

You need either a self extracting crank bolt or a crank extractor tool (with the right fitting for the crank/bottom bracket)0

Sonic, have you ever fitted a self extracting crank bolt with the crank in place? Could be tricky for someone who (no disrespect) didn't know the crank wouldn't just pull off. You'd need to tighten the bolt until the cap was close enough to catch a crank thread and then progressively screw both up together. If they got out of step, they'd bind.

Have sorted it out now thanks for all help. I allready have the self extracting bolts

Not for you, but (again no disrespect), the OP didn't know that the crank wouldn't just fall off if the bolt was removed and then didn't realise that they had a self extracting bolt all along (although what I don't understand was why the crank didn't come off with the bolt!)
