Planet x Superlight Team Saddle. Any good ?
Hi, looking to try a different saddle on my road bike, i currently have a San Marco Rolls which is pretty comfy but fairly heavy. The Charge Spoon looks worth a try but is out of stock everywhere i look.
This one from Planet x looks interesting for the price http://www.planet-x-bikes.com/road/index.php?module=kcart&op=view&product=SAPXSLRECR
Anyone using one or have any comments ?
Thanks.

I have one and find it very comfortable. Prior to that I've had Selle Italia XO and SLR XP. It is better than both. The shape is similar to a Fizik Arionne but without the wing flex. The only downside is the colour rubs off fairly quickly. I have the Ti railed version btw which is not much more expensive.0

I got one to try.
It's well made and a bargain at the price with firm padding all over.
I think the shape is pretty Arione-like but I've not done a side by side comparison.
In the end it did not quite suit me, but then again a Rolls does not suit me either.....0 -
Softer than an Arione, comfortable enough, decent looking in black but mine creaks worse than a wailing banshee - it's been demoted to turbo bike us where I can drown out the noise with my ipod after being returned to Planet X for replacement, only to be returned to me with a note saying they couldn't find anything wrong with it.
It's on it's third bike and distinct seatpost combination, to isolate those components from the equation and the noise is still there in the saddle so I would suggest spending the extra to get the Arione. I have four of them and no issues with any of them.0 -

Well i ordered the saddle from Planet-x on Sunday and it arrived first class today (Tuesday) pretty good service i would say.
Looks good in red & black, nicely put together, feels firm like my old Rolls but much flatter with cutout sections in the shell where the sit bones would be.
Overall very impressed for £10 plus postage.
If it stops raining sometime soon i will test the darned thing!!
Thanks for all the helpfull replies. He is not the messiah, he is a very naughty boy !!0 -
