Bash ring and chain guide

I want both a bash and a chain guide and want to know which would be the best with my bike and if my bike can take one, I am willing to change from three rings in the middle but is this possible with the cranks ? Iv heard E13 and Mrp are good but i don't know which set would be best for my xmas pressie?
