And T-Mobile fined €40,000
Edit : Getting confused. Some media says T-Mob got fined, some Pat.

Probably Pat even though he's made his charity donation.
Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.

It must be Sinkewitz - I think the original story I read was wrong.

Surely he loses a year's salary? No?

What about McQuad's toilet paper? Didn't Sinkewitz sign?
It's a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired. You quit when the gorilla is tired.

No, you need to get a full 2 year ban for that to take effect.

So juice up, get caught, admit some things and get away almost scot free.

Is he still get banned from the PT (for all that's worth)?

Its bullshit. He should have to name names and speak the whole truth for a reduction in his sentence.

  • We don't know what he's said behind closed doors.

Rule No.10 // It never gets easier, you just go faster
  • Hopefully he's done a canary act and the 1 year ban is correct.
  • Where is the tough stance on this, its not even really a 1 year ban as he can race again mid way through next season.

He has basically admitted to systematic doping since 2003. I appreciate he has co-operated with authorities but he should at least serve one full season out. The way it is come April he will have a pro continental contract wating in the wings, and he'll be racing come August....some ban.

A ban for the whole of 2008 season, would at least give him a Millar type scenario where he may face up the propesct of what life is like without being a pro cyclist.

A buddy was talking to an ex-T-mobile rider last week - apparently it was obvious to other riders in the team that Sinkewitz was up to something and they kept trying to drop hints to UCI/WADA to come to one of their training camps to do some out of race tests, but unfortunately they never turned up.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Appreciate you might not have got the full story, but it doesn't sound as if any peer pressure was applied from the 'team mates', it wouldn have been in their interests to try and sort it out themselves? Before grassing.
