Just wondering about the headtube diameter / steerer diameter on cannondales? Can you fit 1.5" forks like totems etc and how easy is it to fit 1 1/8" steerers?
looking to upgrade a lefty to a conventional fork (probably a fox fork) and wondering how much expense and effort it will be.
Thanks

IIRC then you can fit any 1.5" steered fork in straight off the bat, and I believe BETD goldtech do special cannondale reducers to 1 and 1/8", it should be to much faff.0

cool, thanks v much.
anyone else able to confirm that?0 -
I've just checked, betd do do a reducer it is under components headset reducers, or you can buy a headset that takes 1.5" to 1.125" such as these

they will then take a 1.125" steerer tube. They will need to be fitted by your LBS or you if you're confident. You could alternatively buy a fork with a 1.5" steerer and keep your current one.0 -

Wouldn't a long travel totem kill a Prophet's agility outright ? Things only capable of 160mm max with its 140mm frame toleranceSpecialized Camber

I have seen a prophet with a set of Fox 36 on at Llandegla which flew past me on a prophet with a lefty, Also there was ( may still be ) a prophet 1000 with a set of fox 36 on Ebay for sale and the guy selling says it handles better than with the old lefty on?
Hope this helps
