Spacers for stem - is there a limit to how many?
I am going to do the following:
Use a quill to A head 1 - 1 1/8 adaptor to upgrade my old Cinelli 1R stem and bars.
Use a shorter 1 1/8 stem and wider 44cm bars (new purchase).
I have the current stem set quite high - is there a limit to how high I will be able to get the new quill adaptor? Does it actually use spacers?
Thanks

An adaptor uses no spacers. Imagine your existing stem with the extension sawn off, that is an adaptor.0

exactly. The adaptor will go as high as it is long.
from what I've seen they'll go about 8cm ish
You could also consider a stem with a bigger rise. Say 15 degree rather than the normal 6ish.Facts are meaningless, you can use facts to prove anything that's remotely true! - Homer0 -
Thats exactly what I wanted to hear!
