My Aggressor XC2.0 came with RS Dart 2's with 100mm of travel, I just bought a set of Tora 302 U-Turns (85-130mm) should I stick with 100mm or will my frame take a little more like say 115mm or am I asking for trouble?

  • For general riding i would leave the travel on 100mm as this is what the frame geometry was designed around, If you drop down to 80mm you'll prob find that the steering becomes twitchy, If you set to 135mm the steering will become slugish.
However the real advantage of the adjustable travel is this. On climbs set the travel down to 80mm this helps keep the weight forward and the front wheel on the floor making climbing easier. on steep decents set the forks to 135mm so your weight is more towards the back of the bike meaning you'll be less likely to go over the bar and more stable :P . hope this helps.

Thanks for that, I've set the travel at 100mm and I'm gonna install them today.

Gotta get some pics together for the "Post your bike" thread
