I lost my rear light this morning when riding.

I need a light that is suitable for commuting but wont fall off and break when i'm giving it the beans on the trail.

I only use it off road in the mornings whilst the sun is still coming up so people can see me ahead of them so it doesn't have to illuminate an entire forest.

Id like to spend less then £10 but if I need to I can go higher for something uttlerly indestructible.

  • I just use an old cheap one and clipped it onto my saddle bag. To stop it coming off I used some rubbery glue (ie one that didn't set solid, i think it was wood glue actually) to hold the clip shut. Worked a treat.
  • I have a Blackburn Mars 3 , nice and bright, good clamp and clip, i have been off road with it, no drop off's just a bit on the bumpy side and its held on well. CRC have it for £12.99

I have been tempted to buy a cheap one and engineer some form of quich(ish) releace to the clamp so i can glue the light perminatly to the clamp. but if i can get a proper one id rather do that.

My current thoughts are replacing the screw type bolt in the rear light with a thumb screw
