Manitou Radium replacement Rockshox Monarch 4.2 or Fox rp23?

By January I would have saved up enough to change my shock into something better than my current Radiums on my Prophet . The question is which one? I've singled the 2 I'm looking at . The Fox rp-23 which is a tried and proven product or the newly introduced RS Monarch 4.2 . The Fox is a well proven design but its very very high in price and the Monarch is low in price but an untested platform . Which would you choose if you do xc/all mountain riding?
