Hi Guys and gals, just thought I would say hi. I have been for the last 10 years a mountain biker, but now changed to road bikng. Bought a Scott CR1, such a nice bike. So very fast.
I had been commuting on my MB, but ever since getting my racer, its been a dream cycling to work every day. When I get to work, I want to turn around and go right back (well who woundn't  )
Anyway I am sure I will have loads of questions for you.

hehe sounds like what i felt start of october, not that i've done a lot of mountain biking, but was using one to comute to work, SO much faster now :D

Mind you i don't have the low gears for the brute of a hill on the way, but then it will make my legs stronger ;)

  • that is one thing I found, but like you said makes your legs stronger, and I tend to push it more with a road bike, bacause its easier to get faster quicker.
  • instead of wearing lots of layers on my road bike, can someone give me some idea of a
good jacket or tops to wear
  • I just bought a cannondale forteen40 jersey

the most amazing top. wear it under my Berghaus paclite jacket, its all nice and light but really warm, and I dont sweat either. Not cheap though, but worth it, in my opinion. The jersey is quite a tight fit, but it works, and the sleeves come off for summer.
  • thanks for your reply, looked up top thats the kind of top im looking for. :D
  • they really are gorgeous quality, all I am looking for now is top cannondale gear, think I am getting carried away though

Worth lokking at Castelli gear as well, it's fantastic, top quality if a little pricey.
