Turbo Trainer set up

I’d like to leave me good bike set up in the week on my Turbo Trainer.
But..
a) fear it not great for rear wheel (esp having to putt the TT’s QR on it) and
b) changing the tyre for TT and back again for road is a faff.
Is it worth just getting a spare wheel? If so, any cheap recommends (I run Shimano (Ultegra)). And will a 7- 8 spd be compatible with me 10 with faffing ?

It's unlikely that you'd be able to get an 8 speed wheel to work on a 10-speed drivetrain - the sprocket gaps are too different.
Why don't you just use an old QR or the one that's usually supplier with the trainer?
I don't think a weeks turbo-training is going to finish off a tyre - unless you've got the roller / tension too high. Why not fit a heavier training tyre for winter anyway?Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
