Starting Off DH

Hey all

im 14 and looking to get into DH properly, i need to buy a bike to do DH with. i was gonna look for second hand parts to keep costs down. anyone go any ideas on what would be good for a downhiller with some experience of it

    kona stinky's are great for dh, bit on the heavy side imo but they ride really, really well.
    you can get the '07 one on crc fro 999.99

  • if u are buying a frame, and adding components, id recomend buying new parts, as second hand parts are sometimes a false econemy, with that in mind, u can use old parts, and upgrade, that way, u can compare good and bad, and i find if u get a new part each month, it keeps u intrested, remember, a bike is never complete, there is always new and better parts coming out,
